Cathy Sirett has over twenty years of experience in coaching, training and consulting to fortune 500 companies in a variety of roles.
In the early part of her career, Cathy worked as a management consultant to local government in the UK, helping key service areas succesfully compete for their contracts against private competition. In this role she led negotiations with unionised workforces, and managed conflict in the project teams to result in all the service contracts being won by the in house workforce.
After completing her MBA, Cathy moved to New York where she studied and worked at Columbia Business School. Here, she designed and implemented a school wide induction programme for all incoming MBA students focused on developing high performance team skills. This was so succesful she was invited to speak at several other major US business schools on the process. While at Columbia Business School Cathy also worked as a facilitator in the Executive Education Department where she coached and trained senior executives from top companies involved in Columbia's Strategy and Management programmes.
She was also invited to become an adjunct Professor at NYU's Stern school of business to deliver the Organisational Behaviour course on the Executive MBA programme, and co-designed and delivered a course to develop the teaching skills of Professors.
After leaving Columbia Business School Cathy undertook several consulting projects focused on strategic effectiveness, team performance, and coaching top level management in companies including BOC Gases (Global) -- this project became the focus of her Conference Board presentation on Managing Effective Global Teams using Technology.
